David Gallagher
David is Technical Director at AC Structures, the leading Self-build focused Structural
Engineer’s, working across the UK.
David attained an MEng in Civil Engineering Design and Management at Dundee University
in 2006. During his career, he has obtained a wealth of experience working in the UK,
Middle East and New Zealand working on a number of high-profile projects.
After returning to the UK in 2012, David returned to the design office including 5 years
working for Harley Haddow where he took the structural design lead. Leading on a wide
range of projects from house extensions to exemplar Passivhaus research centres and hotel
conversions of A-listed buildings.
David helped create ACS in 2021 with self-build expert Allan Corfield, with a goal to create a
one stop shop for architectural and engineering design. Since then, ACS has grown to a team
of 6 talented engineers working on over 260 projects, spread across the UK.
As well as supporting self-builders ACS also provide specialist technical support to many of
the leading modern method of construction suppliers (inc SIPS, Timber frame and ICF).
